Ministry of Telecommunication (Palestine)

The Ministry of Telecommunication (Arabic: وزارة الاتصال البعادي wuzārat al-ittiṣāl al-ba‘ādī) is a ministry of the Palestinian government responsible for radio, television, telephone and internet infrastructure, as well as state broadcasting and related information services in the Republic of Palestine. The ministry subsidises several public television and radio stations, and also runs a fund for independent and startup journalism endeavours in the country. For example, all native journalism and journalistic coverage is subsidised financially by the government. In this way, the distinction between independent and state-owned media becomes less tangible.
