NATO

The North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) was a mutual defence/collective security pact between the capitalist countries of Western Europe and North America, which was one of the two major opposing belligerents in World War III, the other being the Warsaw Pact. It was succeeded in the postwar era by the Atlantic Union.
