Awni Abdel Hadi Mahmoud Sulayman al-Atrashi (Arabic: عوني عبد الهادي محمود سليمان الأطراشي) was the third President of Palestine, and the only president from the Independence Party, in office from 1957 to 1964. He was born in 1890 in Bethlehem, the eldest of three boys and a girl of Sunni parents.
